support
On arriving young people are allocated one or two Key Workers in the home. They are usually the first people they will approach for support, advice or information. It is made clear to young people that all the staff in the home are there for all of them, and that they may approach any member of staff about any matter that concerns them.

Further individual support is given to children and young people through Individual Key Work sessions with residential staff, through consultation with the home’s Child and Educational Psychologist, and through the provision of external professional services.

In particular, support is made available to young people who have (or may have) been subjected to maltreatment or exploitation as well as assisting in the development of their individual racial, cultural or religious identity.
